Just as I was completing an article on Keaton this week (which I will be drawing on for my paper at the symposium), she launched her memoirs - for anyone working on celebrity this will strike a chord re the perils of writing about contemporary, living stars! They have this capacity to do/say things you hadn't anticipated just as your words on them go to press! There has just been time to make a brief nod to the publicity about the book - in particular her admission that she suffered from bulimia has brought a new perspective to my reading of her slender body in Something's Gotta Give. (She comes across very well as smart and genuinely charming in the interview I think, worth a listen).
